Mid-term Exams (10% each)

EXAM 1
Midterm #1 has been re-scheduled for Mon Feb 27..Practice Exams from Fall 2005 and from Spring 2004 are available. You might also try  these study problems.

If you would like to do Exam 1 again as a Take Home Exam you need to come to my office and discuss your performance on Exam 1 in order to be eligible to have your in-class exam score and take home exam score averaged. You need to come see me and pick up the Take Home Exam before Fri March 10 and return the Exam on Wed March 22.

Solutions to Exam 1 are now available.

EXAM 2
Midterm #2 is now scheduled for Wednesday April 5. There will be a Group component. The group meeting is 30 minutes long and is basically a group oral exam with a written component. You will have a problem to solve together and then each of you will separately explain the solution technique and method to me. All groups meet in my office (Fowler 313).

The in-class component of the Exam will allow the use of limited notes (1 8.5 x 11 inch page of paper, handwritten). No textbook. NO calculators. No worksheets or previously graded work. The oral group component you may note use any notes.

EXAM 3
Midterm #3 is scheduled for Fri Apr 28. Solutions are now available.

Final Exam (20%) 
The Final Exam is scheduled for Friday May 10 at 1-4pm.

The Final Exam may be optional for those students who have an A or A- on the rest of the material (Quiz, HW and Exams).
