Directions for Journal article presentation
- Select a research article from a current
(last 5 years) journal. The article should be about cognitive science,
study of the mind and/or education.
- Read and analyze the article in the
following way.
- What is the main point of the article?
- Based on your thinking and knowledge does
the data presented in the article support the author's claim?
- Determine why this article is important to
cognitive science and/or education.
- Prepare a 10 - 20 minute oral presentation
which must include the following:
- Title of the article and author's name(s)
- Summary of what the article shows/claims
- Description of how the research was
carried out. This could be on an overhead transparency.
- Did the data support the author's claims?
- What, if anything, does this article
contribute to the field of cognitive science and/or education.
