New 2000 FCIA Education Requirements
The Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) has adopted new admission requirements and transition rules for students of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Society of Actuaries. Students who wish to become Fellows of the CIA and who are taking examinations in 1999 are advised to read the CIA's announcemnt located at:

Candidates wishing to attain credit with the Society of Actuaries (SOA) for Courses 3 and 4 in the new education system will need to pass Courses 3 and 4 or attain credit for them via the SOA conversion rules.
