    Notice that your choices must result in minimum weights of 30 for exams, 15 for papers and 15 for each of the three main units of the course. Also, your choices must add up to a grand total at least 90.
    If you choose the independent paper (row 4), consider your most likely topic and assign your paper to the most closely related course unit.
    Participation counts for 10 percent of your overall course grade and is measured as the percentage of in-class activities (labs, workshops, handouts, etc.) which you participate in. Note: you must complete all course assignments conscientiously in order to receive a passing grade for the course. You are also expected to abide by the other general policies which apply to the course.
