To do: | |||
1. | Read the "Everyone reads" cases. | ||
2. | For the cases assigned to your team: | ||
a. | Read the case, with a focus on the perspective of your team's assigned side, Plaintiff or Defendant. | ||
b. | Plaintiff side should be prepared to present the facts of the case. | ||
c. | After class discussion of the case, Plaintiff side prepares a case brief: | ||

(1) | For the case information (facts of the case, court opinion, etc.), copy and paste selected passages into the brief. Use brackets [] to enclose any passages you include that summarize or paraphrase the case. | ||
(2) | Your analytical summary should be about 1-2 paragraphs long. Aim to include in it the key points about the case raised during class. | ||
(3) | Limit your entire brief to 2-3 pages, single-spaced. | ||
(4) | Email me your completed brief at (whitney@oxy.edu) by the time of the second class meeting after we have finished covering the case in class, so that I can post your brief in the class schedule. | ||
