Security Exceptions |

"Nothing in this Agreement
shall be construed" |
|
(a) |
to require disclosure of information essential to national
security; or |
|
(b) |
to prevent actions necessary "for the protection
of" a country's "essential security interests" (i) relating to fissionable
materials; (ii) relating to trade of military items or supplies; or (iii) taken in time of
war or other emergency in international relations; or |
|
(c) |
to prevent compliance with the United Nations Charter for the
maintenance of international peace and security. |
