The goals of this course are:

• To advance the development of students as Mathematics majors
• To help students improve their ability to communicate mathematical ideas
  through oral and written presentations
• To provide opportunities for students to demonstrate and document writing competency
  in their major discipline
• To prepare students for successful completion of Part 1 of the Comprehensive
  Exam.

There will be plenty of individual projects, group collaborations, peer review, and self assessment. By the end, I expect you to be able to answer the question "What kind of a mathematician are you now and what do you want to  do in the future?"
