A: GABAA receptors (outside-out patches: this means that the downward deflections represent inward negative current through these channels). Recordings in normal extracellular fluid with GABA in the recording electrode/pipette. B: GABAA receptors (outside-out patches: this means that the downward deflections represent inward negative current through these channels). Recordings in extracellular fluid containing pentobarbital (again with GABA in the recording electrode/pipette).
