The 1999 Spring Meeting of the Casualty Actuarial Society provides a forum for actuaries and other professionals to stay abreast of current issues affecting the insurance industry.
This meeting will allow actuaries to pursue their continuing education requirements.
General sessions are planned on a variety of topics including "European Union's Impact on the Insurance Industry," "Y2K Update," "Financial Markets and Their Impact on the Property/Casualty Industry," and a "Chief Actuary Discussion on Market Behavior." The featured speaker is Lawrence Kudlow.
This meeting will highlight papers from the 1999 Discussion Paper Program, "Securitization of Risk." In addition, a variety of concurrent sessions are planned.
Time has been allotted for informal discussion with other CAS members. In addition to two scheduled receptions, attendees and accompanying persons will enjoy a theme party at the resort on Tuesday evening.
