Interests: My research interests are in number theory and arithmetic geometry, with a special focus on modular forms and Galois representations. A secondary interest is the history of mathematics.
As a spectator, rather than as an active player, I also try to keep in touch with lots of other fields in mathematics. Outside mathematics, I am interested in Christian theology (especially New Testament studies), modern science fiction, comic books, and lots of other things. I'm a computer freak too, of the sort that likes OS/2 and UNIX, emacs and LaTeX, and doing "experimental mathematics" on the computer.
Publications: I've written a number of research articles and four books (well, I edited one of the books, and wrote or co-wrote the other three). Here's the full list.
