Objective

The purpose of this seminar is to provide information on a variety of reinsurance topics (both assumed and ceded.) Practical approaches to problems will be presented and discussion will be encouraged. Participants can expect to gain awareness and insight into difficult issues and are welcome to share their own ideas.

Target Audience

The program is aimed at the experienced actuary (or other experienced industry professional) with a knowledge of reinsurance. Some sessions will involve technical pricing, reserving, and modeling issues while others will be of a more general reinsurance nature. A "research corner" will allow for detailed discussion on topics of interest to the attendees. A ceded track will also be available for those interested in learning more about actuarial techniques involved in pricing ceded reinsurance.
