Remove by Name

DESCRIPTION:
Removes objects from the working directory.

USAGE:
rm(..., list=NULL)

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS:
...:
names of objects to be removed. The arguments are not evaluated. The corresponding objects should be in the working directory.

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS:
list=:
vector of character strings of object names. Note that despite the name of this argument it should be a vector.

SIDE EFFECTS:
objects that exist are removed, a warning message is given if there are names that refer to non-existent objects.

DETAILS:
the remove function performs a similar task, but can remove objects from places other than the working directory, and it takes a vector of character strings (like the list argument to rm) rather than the names of the objects.

SEE ALSO:

EXAMPLES:
rm(x, y, z) #remove objects x,y,z from the working directory
