The quakes.bay data frame is a marked spatial point pattern data set listing the location, time and magnitude of earthquakes in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1962 to 1981.

DATA DESCRIPTION:

The data frame contains the following columns:

longitude:

negative longitude of quake location.

latitude:

latitude of quake location.

magnitude:

the size of the quake.

date:

the date of the quake, an object of class dates.

hour:

the hour of the quake.

minute:

the minute of the quake.

second:

the second of the quake.
