Erected in 1956, Bell-Young Hall was named in honor of two significant colleagues and their families without whom Occidental would not exist. Today, following a 2008 renovation, Bell-Young Hall continues to be a popular dormitory choice for students living on campus.  The Young Family remains active on the Occidental College campus, demonstrating the family's enduring emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences college experience and its philosophical tradition of wholeheartedly engaging in and enriching the world.
